When is the best time to use Spotlight for my business?

Spotlight works best during key moments when visibility and credibility matter most. Examples include:
  • New ownership or a rebrand
  • Grand openings or expansions
  • Business milestones or anniversaries
  • Community involvement or sponsorships
  • Leadership changes
  • Seasonal campaigns or promotions
Each of these moments is an opportunity to share your story in a trusted format that builds long-term visibility.

How long does the process take?

Most features go live within 2–3 weeks after your application is approved and content is finalized.

Can I revise my article?

Yes. You’ll have one round of revisions prior to publishing to ensure accuracy and tone.

Are refunds available if I’m not approved?

If your application is not approved, your payment will be refunded in full. Refunds are only restricted once an article has been drafted or published.

Do you accept every business?

No. We only feature businesses that align with our standards of integrity, honesty, and community values.​

How many people will see my feature?​

​That depends on your package. Web-only features are publicly available and indexed by Google. Community Reach and Momentum Builder packages add print, homepage, newsletter, and social placements — reaching tens of thousands locally.

Can I choose where my article appears?

​Final placement and timing are at the discretion of Clear View Advantage and The Caledonian Record. We ensure each feature gets appropriate visibility.

What happens after my story goes live?

​You’ll receive a public link you can share. Steady Spotlight and Momentum Builder clients also receive visibility recaps or performance reports after publication.

Can I re-use the content?

​Yes. Once your feature is live, you are encouraged to share the link across your website, Google Business Profile, social media, email newsletters, and other marketing channels.

Is this advertising?

​No. All features are labeled as sponsored content, but they are written as credible stories — designed to build trust, not just visibility.

How can I get the most from my Spotlight feature?

​Your feature works best when you share it widely. Add the link to your Google Business Profile as a Post, share it on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, include it in your email newsletter, and post it on your website’s News or About page. Encourage staff, friends, and customers to share it too — the more places it’s seen, the more credibility it builds.
